독일여행의 마지막 대미! 를 장식한 곳이었는데요, 저는 아주 대만족했습니다.
왜 커리부어스트 커리부어스트 하는지 알게됐던 맛.ㅎㅎ
가게 모습으 ㄴ요렇습니다.
튀김, 구이를 하는 곳인데 엄청 깨끗하게 잘 유지되고 있었어요.
각종 소세지, 패티 등이 잘 조리되서 대기하고 있습니다.
테이크아웃 식의 가게인데, 바로옆에 공터같은 곳에 입식으로 테이블이 있어서 거기서 서서 먹을 수 있습니다.

저는 커리부어스트에 바게뜨빵으로 시켰습니다.
바게뜨빵에는 생 소세지만 탁 들어가있어요. 소스도 없고요!
가게 한켠에 요래 소스들이 마련되어 있으니 기호에 따라 짜먹으시면 됩니다.

바게뜨빵이 겉바속촉이 도랐습니다.
그리고 소세지 자체가 아주 맛드러집니다. 씹을수록 터져나오는 육즙과 육향의 향연이란!!!

한마디로 하면 커리와 케첩이 합해진 맛입니다.
이거 아주 중독적이에요.
짭쪼름하고 달콤하고 새콤한게 아주 좋았습니다.
맥주안주로 최고의 맛입니다. 이 맛을 먼저 알았더라면. .사서 숙소에서 맥주와 함께 먹었을텐데.ㅠㅠ
커리부어스트는 한국와서도 한번 해먹어보고 싶은 맛의 음식이었습니다.
감자튀김도 꽤나 많이줘서 식사대용으로도 아주 좋았어요!
커리부어스트는 꼭 먹고 귀국해야해.. 꼭 먹어야해.. 하면서 마지막날에 극적으로 관광코스에서 찾은 곳!

[Die Altstadt Wurstbraterei] The Perfect Currywurst Stop Near Frankfurt Cathedral, Germany
This is 'Die Altstadt Wurstbraterei' — a fantastic currywurst spot right next to Frankfurt Cathedral, perfectly located for a stop after visiting the Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge) and the cathedral.
This was the place that put the grand finale on my Germany trip, and I left completely satisfied. Now I finally understand why everyone raves about currywurst. 😄
Here's the shop. It's a frying and grilling setup, kept incredibly clean and well-maintained. Various sausages and patties are all cooked up and waiting to go. It's a takeout-style spot, but right next door there's an open area with standing tables where you can eat on the spot.
Here's the menu. I ordered the currywurst with a baguette. The baguette comes with just the plain sausage tucked inside — no sauce. There's a condiment station off to the side where you can squeeze on whatever sauces you like to your taste.
First, the hot dog. The baguette was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside — perfectly done. And the sausage itself was outstanding. With every bite, a flood of juices and rich meaty aroma just burst through. If the sausage alone is this good... what would the currywurst taste like?!
In one word — it's curry and ketchup combined, and it is wildly addictive. Salty, sweet, and tangy all at once, in the best possible way. It's the ultimate beer snack. If only I'd discovered this earlier in the trip... I would have bought some and eaten it back at the accommodation with a beer. 😢 Currywurst is honestly something I want to try making at home back in Korea.
The fries were also a generous portion — more than enough to count as a proper meal!
"I have to eat currywurst before I go home, I absolutely have to" — and in the end, I found this place dramatically on the last day of sightseeing. 😄
